Dreams and Meditation

Meditation has been a huge comfort for me recently. Not only does it reduce my stress and anxiety levels but it is opening up areas of my mind that are strange and unusual.

I spoke of listening to Adagio for Strings in  a previous post and how it conjured up some incredible visuals. This is something I intend to build on. The serenity of it all is addictive. Here we have a legal and free way to get high!

Your mind is so powerful and capable of so much that we don’t even know about yet.

Alongside my meditation experiences my dreams have become more vivid, I’m in better control of them and I am remembering them better too. They sometimes play out in front of me like a film. I’m floating above whatever is going on. My bed becomes transparent and I’m slowly floating above the dream sequence.

The most recent was watching something that seemed to be in medieval times. There were lots of knights, peasants, blood, hacked faces; think Game of Thrones. It wasn’t very pleasant. It was the aftermath of a battle of some kind, I didn’t catch the actual action.

Another recent one I had took place at the home of one of my life coaches, Caroline. She was, very bizarrely keeping people in her washing machine… I’m not sure of the significance of this. It was completely normal to us in the dream though. Then her electricity went off, so she had me dancing in the rain in her garden to get it to work again. The strange occurrences in my dreams aren’t a new thing for me, my dreams have always been quite random. It’s the control element that is new to me. In the past my dreams have been very automatic but with these recent ones I’ve been able to control what I’ve been doing. My actions have been my own.

I’m finding it very interesting and I’ve looked for further information on these types of dreams and any link with meditation. Unfortunately I keep coming up empty-handed. I’ll continue to record my experiences and hopefully someone will be able to offer me a further insight soon 🙂 ∞♥

Don’t ever let anyone make you think you’re not good enough.

Follow your dreams right now! Don’t wait until tomorrow,

next week, next year. Stop planning, start doing 🙂

I write, therefore I am. I spend my days writing, wondering what to write, being creative and generally being awesome 😊 Welcome to my world, won't you come on in? xx
