With a teenager in the house life seems to sometimes revert back to when there was a toddler in the house. Going out anywhere takes four times longer than it should. Conversation has been reduced to a series of noises and bedtime is a nightmare, needing military precision planning and bribery.
I know things are being re-wired in his brain. He’s going through a transformation of sorts, so I can almost forgive him.
It would be nice, however, to be able to do things as a family without a thousand complaints from the teenager!
If Chris and I think it’s awesome you can guarantee that Christopher will hate it…
With that in mind I thought we should formulate a plan for activities over the summer holidays. That way there will be no arguments, we’ll all have something going on that we like and everyone will be happy 😀
Here’s our list (so far) of some things we’re going to do over the summer!
- Sleep
- Read a book
- Quad biking
- Archery
- Night walk
- Night drive
- Horse riding
- Paddle boarding
- Go Ape!
- Farm
- Seaside
- Visit Chris’ Mum
- Llama Trekking
- Brimham Rocks
- Parkour
- Volunteering
- Museums
- York
- Get ice cream
- Board game day
We might not get them all done but I think we’ve plenty to go on for now and at least this way Christopher can’t complain because he helped make the list 😉
Anymore suggestions are welcome!
