This was our second visit to the Titanic Spa in Huddersfield and it was just as amazing as the first time round.
We opted for the Sunday Night Stopover which is priced at £129 each, which I believe to be extremely reasonable for what’s included:
Complimentary Use of Robes, Towels and Slippers
Overnight Accommodation & Continental Breakfast
Club Titanic & Swimming Pool & Hydrozone
Titanic Spa Heat & Ice Experience
Outdoor Hot Tub
Access to Bar 1911
1 Course Light Lunch
2 Course Evening Meal
Treatment
Elemis Skin Specific Facial OR Decleor Illuminating Facial (55 Minute Treatment)
We arrived on the Sunday morning ready to be pampered.
We were checked in, handed our robes and served with our complimentary tea, coffee or juice.
The rest of the morning was ours until lunch at 12 pm. You’re given a schedule when you arrive informing you of your groups lunch, treatment and evening meal. This way you get to remain together in your group and in between you can make full use of the rest of the facilities.
The Heat and Ice Experience is my favourite part of the spa. This experience is made up of six different rooms;
The Herbal Infusion, Saunarium, Aromatherapy, Crystal Steam Bath, Sauna Cabin and Ice Room.
There are also a number of ‘experience showers’ these mimic tropical and ice rain and also a kind of ‘ice bucket challenge’ which is superbly invigorating. Don’t miss out on the rejuvenating plunge pool too!
After being relaxed and refreshed in the Heat and Ice Experience it was lunch time. The food here is delicious, top marks to the chef(s). There’s a fantastic selection of dishes, some healthy, some indulgent but all equally yummy.
At 4 pm it was time for our Elemis facial. This was the second most relaxing experience of my life, the first one being the treatment I received from our first visit.
I could live in that room, everything was perfect, the music, the temperature, the ambiance. The professionalism of the therapist was excellent, I have never, in my life felt more relaxed.
I even drifted off to sleep and very embarrassingly did one of those weird arm twitch things, I’m surprised I didn’t punch the therapist in the face!
After our treatment sessions we retreated to the Rest and Relaxation room, this room is filled with lots of bean bags and loungers and blankets and magazines. It sounds wonderful on the outside but for me it was a little bit too cold and the lights are really bright.
As we didn’t find the Rest and Relaxation room very restful and relaxing we went to check out our digs for the night and change for dinner.
The apartments here offer everything you need. Ours was two bedroom accommodation with two sofa beds, sleeping six altogether. A dining area and fully equipped kitchen with a balcony and a gorgeous view.
Our evening meal was at 6.30 pm. Another exquisite menu with some delicious dishes to try. We can highly recommend the honeycomb cheesecake if it’s on offer!
After dinner it was time to chill out in Bar 1911 with a couple of cocktails.
Our pampered, relaxing day was rounded off nicely with a few more drinks back in the apartment and a rather disturbing game of ‘Cards Against Humanity’!
If you’re looking for an indulgent spa experience then look no further, I have found it for you. You’re welcome 😉
