…or not.
I love my darling son more than anything in this Universe and I will protect, defend and help him for as long as I am able. He is more precious to me than any thing else. Which I’m sure is the case for most parents and their own children.
There is one thing that Christopher is not, he is not ‘my world’, he never has been and he never will be. That might sound harsh to some people but my handsome, sweet, kind, loving young man is not the “everything” in my life.
It makes me cringe when I see people say this on photos and social media posts. If your child or children are your world then you have a very…ย sad contained world. I can see that this may upset some people but that is my opinion.
I had a life before my child and I continue to have one now. He’s never been neglected, he’s always had a supportive network of people around him and I love him beyond anything, unconditionally.
I can’t ever describe how much I love him, I’m sure any parent can relate . However when he visits his Dad’s or his grandparents, or the times he has gone anywhere else with anyone else without me I didn’t cease to exist.
I have friends, hobbies, interests, things to do outside of being a Mum. If your life is consumed by your children what happens when they eventually fly the nest?
Don’t forget that you are allowed to have a life that doesn’t involve or include your little nest of vipers.
Please feel free to discuss this and berate me ๐
Don’t ever let anyone make you think you’re not good enough.ย
Follow your dreams right now! Don’t wait until tomorrow,ย
next week, next year. Stop planning, start doing ๐
Be happy and keep smiling ๐
