I woke up on Saturday morning with the idea of Reiki flowing around my head. Of course I have heard of Reiki and knew a little bit about it but I wanted to find out more. I headed to Facebook, where I get all of my information these days, and asked who knew what.
I was presented with some lovely people, who I spoke to, some quite in depth about Reiki and what it is and how, where and why it is used.
I was told there was a Festival of Spirit taking place in Colne the following day and I should check this out for further answers etc.
The next day it was wet and cold and miserable and I really didn’t want to get out of bed, let alone drive to Colne. However I have recently decided that the little voice in my head telling me that I don’t HAVE to do this, is sometimes actually my own paranoia, my fear creeping in.
So I ignored it and I went to see what the Festival of Spirit had to offer.
Nothing, was my answer. At least not for me. I had a wander round and there were some beautiful stalls and had I been there just for a nosy I probably would have found it more pleasing but because I’d gone there with a specific intention and that intention wasn’t met I was a bit disappointed.
However, not all was lost. I am one for looking at what the Universe wants to send me and in going to the Festival of Spirit it sent me my next book idea, which I will soon begin to furiously scribble away at. I also had the chance to vlog on the way home in a beautiful location.
Basically the Festival wasn’t exactly what I was expecting but it gave me my next flash of inspiration so, thank you. Also I am in no way complaining about the Festival of Spirit, it was a great atmosphere, friendly people and visually pleasing and if I am correctly informed it returns to The Muni in Colne next September ∞
The day made me think about how the Universe may well have a sneaky plan for us all. Not necessarily fate, I like to think we have some control over our own lives but there’s definitely something in it.
Is the Universe trying to tell you things? Or are you just making the best out of a bad situation? Either option is good for me. I like to keep my eyes open and see what I’m being sent, sometimes its blatantly obvious, like a big red arrow flashing and yelling ‘this way’, other times it takes a tired car journey out to Colne on a Sunday morning to show you your next adventure.
Don’t ever let anyone make you think you’re not good enough.
Follow your dreams right now! Don’t wait until tomorrow,
next week, next year. Stop planning, start doing 🙂
Be happy, keep smiling and the let the Universe do the rest…
