Alternative Christmas Gift Ideas

It’s (nearly) Christmas!! It’s December which means you can officially get excited about Christmas! Santa, trees, reindeer, turkey, champagne for breakfast (I’m not here to be judged). And presents! I love finding that perfect gift for someone, knowing they will actually adore it and will forever remember that Christmas when someone bought them something they loved. Possibly something that they’ve never been bought before, something unique, different, maybe even a bit quirky… Well I have everything you need right here… well not everything but some things, or at least some good ideas for things that your peoples might like… Make … Continue reading Alternative Christmas Gift Ideas

The inner child

I’m not sure that I’m qualified to say what I was like as a child. I think I was a pretty awesome little kid. Maybe I was a tiny bit stubborn and potentially had anger issues but I know for a fact that I was hilarious and entertaining. My view of me as a child is probably slightly skewed as I just remember the nice, crazy fun parts. Endless summers, strawberries, sticky buns, mess and laughter. I don’t ever remember thinking, “What am I like?” “What is this life?” “Why am I mixing talcum powder and cucumber in this pestle … Continue reading The inner child

Ducks and Doggles

I will not ever, ever choose between ducks and dogs. It just cannot ever happen. For a start they are both adorably cute and secondly they are hilarious! You’ve seen ducks walk? Well, waddle. It’s quite possibly one of the most entertaining things ever. Also they are just tiny dinosaurs so you’ve got to love them. Duck facts Ducks are found on every continent except Antarctica. Ducks feet have no nerves or blood vessels, meaning their feet don’t feel the cold. … Continue reading Ducks and Doggles

How to survive..A day out

I love a good day out, to the park, a museum, the beach. I’m not the biggest fan of people. People can be the total ruin of my day! Practice your ‘Hi!, we’re having a great time’ smile for every single person you come across. You’ll soon spot the other fakers. Over-enthusiastic grins and wide crazy eyes! Something like this… Cram your pockets and bag with snacks and drinksĀ that you … Continue reading How to survive..A day out

How to survive…your ‘customer facing’ job role.

‘Just remember, these people pay your wages’ Those words are neither helpful nor entirely accurate. Yes okay if the customer base wasn’t there, there wouldn’t be a job, however you wouldn’t have been given that job in the first place because it wouldn’t have existed… I was going somewhere with this but I lost it. My point is that saying that to someone is dumb. It’s like telling someone to calm down when they are clearly already irate! So here’s a few tricks of the trade to surviveĀ a customer facing role. To get you through the day; plotting elaborate and … Continue reading How to survive…your ‘customer facing’ job role.

Thanks for the memories

I’ve had this huge memorabilia box for years. It’s moved with me to every house I’ve lived in for the past 15 years, continuously filling it with things, things that I haven’t looked at for months, even years at a time. Why though? Why am I holding on to these things? What purpose do they serve? I can’t even give you a valid reason for keeping them. Therefore there is no good reason to keep them. I remember an episode of ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch’ where her Aunts were clearing out the loft, I think, and they were arguing about … Continue reading Thanks for the memories
