We’ve all been there, life is going along swimmingly, you’re juggling all of your eggs, they’re all lined up in their baskets, then suddenly there’s a tiny little shift and an egg starts to wobble, maybe it rolls to the edge of the table… Of course, you start to panic, you focus all of your effort and attention on making a flying leap to save that one egg, which probably would have been fine, maybe it might have cracked a tiny little bit but you could have scrambled it and flung it on some toast for lunch! But no, … Continue reading When life hands you a wobble, just crack on.
“You can’t pour from an empty cup”, basically you need to fill the cup up to be able to pour from it. The same goes for you. If you’re emotionally, physically, mentally, spiritually, spent then you have nothing left to give and this will leave you feeling deflated. This is why you need to take the time to invest in yourself. Fill that cup back up. This isn’t all about relaxing and meditation and being all zen and calm, this is also about doing things for yourself. Things that you enjoy, taking the time to have a … Continue reading How do you invest in yourself?
Whilst I was driving the other day it occurred to me that if I thought about the process of driving then my brain becomes confused and I suddenly think I can’t do it. The operation of driving has become second nature to me and now it is all done on auto-pilot. The same goes for walking. If you are walking down the street and you start to think about how one foot goes in front of the other you can get confused and trip over your own feet. It’s all second nature and we don’t have to overthink these things … Continue reading Just a few thoughts
Whenever I am in my car I will have music playing or the radio on. Well today I decided to switch off all the noise and I drove home in silence. I was driving over the tops, passing lots of fields and sheep and not much else. I had my windows down so I could feel the fresh air. I decided to pull over and just sit for 10 minutes with the windows down and just watch the sheep. They don’t have a care in the world. I need to pay more attention to my spirit in order to … Continue reading Gentle and quiet spirit.
I’m not religious. I would probably class myself as spiritual, actually I’d like to class myself as spiritual. I do not spend enough time being spiritual. My meditation time has been lacking recently and I am feeling very guilty. A few weeks ago I was telling you all how great it was making me feel and how I was experiencing some wonderful things. Well I admit, I’ve let it slip. I’ve recognised this error and my plan is to get back to it. I’m not entirely sure why I let it slip. It’s not as though … Continue reading My spiritual walk…
Well we all already know that I want to do everything! Again this is one of those moments where I remember David Allen; “You can do anything, not everything” However, just for the sake of it I thought I’d write a few of those things down that I think about doing. Some of which I will do, probably pretty soon. Some of them might prove to be difficult, that’s no reason to not do them, they’ll just take longer and others are pretty improbable, but not impossible 🙂 Some of these are goals that I have set … Continue reading What do I want to do?
Meditation has been a huge comfort for me recently. Not only does it reduce my stress and anxiety levels but it is opening up areas of my mind that are strange and unusual. I spoke of listening to Adagio for Strings in a previous post and how it conjured up some incredible visuals. This is something I intend to build on. The serenity of it all is addictive. Here we have a legal and free way to get high! Your mind is so powerful and capable of so much that we don’t even know about yet. Alongside my meditation experiences … Continue reading Dreams and Meditation
The soul soars high with each step you take in to the light, The sun shines down on your life. You take this feeling of euphoria and you bask in it. You are this feeling, it consumes you. There is nothing in the world now that can break your spirit. You are the spirit, you are free. Kate Hames Don’t ever let anyone make you think you’re not good enough. Follow your dreams right now! Don’t wait until tomorrow, next week, next year. Stop planning, start doing 🙂 ‘Blind faith is no way to run … Continue reading Let your spirit soar
I recently joined a mindset coaching academy called the ‘Bossing It Academy’, here they (they being Holly and Caroline, who are incredible and will help you every step of the way) teach you about the Law of Attraction and how to basically boss the s**t out of your life. So my brain has obviously become inspired and it decided I should write this, this is how I am feeling about my take on the Law of Attraction at the moment. I cannot, will not fail, I may stumble along the way. The strength I have found within is my power now. … Continue reading My law of attraction in verse…
