I have a New Year tradition which started about 10 or 11 years ago. A friend and I pick a date in January and head off on a walk, wander or if we’re feeling brave, a hike. It started with … Continue reading My New Year Tradition.
Who on earth has the time to fit every single piece of ‘advice’ into their every day lives? Can you imagine fitting all of it into one day, every day, forever? 5 pieces of fruit and veg8 hours of sleep, … Continue reading Who has time for this s**t?
Home Education, or Home Schooling, as it’s more commonly known has never really been on my radar. I did once toy with the idea of it when my son was being bullied at Primary School, and if I’d known then … Continue reading Mental Well-being is more important than anything.
AD. I was gifted tickets from The National Forest Adventure Farm for our visit. All views are my own. What better way to start the Easter holidays than with a trip to the National Forest Adventure Farm! I’ve been coming … Continue reading The National Forest Adventure Farm’s Easter Eggstravaganza!
I already suffer with enough paranoia and guilt for absolutely no reason at all and therefore don’t need to be given any more by reading about how spending time on social media is stealing time away from being with my … Continue reading Enough with the family shaming!
We all know that I love to plan. I’m the master of planning. I am the Planinator, Planatron? She-Plan, Plan-Woman! And lots of other planning-isms… Therefore I obviously have a plan for 2019. I am positive that it will not be as intense as last year, I really should look at slowing down and finding some more ways to relax, spending time with my loved ones and replenishing my soul! I suppose then, that is my plan. Do less, live more and relax. I do have a few things lined up though… I couldn’t go cold turkey! A trip to … Continue reading My 2019 Plan!
and the guilt, worry, anxiety and major stress that comes with it! This post was inspired by talking to my lovely author friend and fellow blogger, Debbie Ioanna. We have very similar writing styles and it’s obvious that we see many things in the same way. Debbie suggested that we should do a collaboration on our respective blogs. Debbie has recently had her own little bundle of joy and mine ran out of joy about 5 years ago, so we thought we could have a bit of a ‘compare and contrast’ post based on baby versus teenager… here is my … Continue reading The joys of being a parent…
I have just returned from another fantastic holiday with my Mum and my son, we’ve been away together quite a few times and we always have so much fun. I adore the relationship that we have, it’s not like a tolerance because we’re family, I genuinely love spending time with both of them. We always have a laugh, sometimes at each others expense, and there’s plenty of silliness, usually from my Mum and I, whilst Christopher stands there and shakes his head. We don’t get on 24/7 of course, there are disagreements to be had, we’re only human, but … Continue reading Not your everyday ‘My Holiday’ post.
In my very early days of serious blogging I was chatting to a lady about my blog and she asked to see it. I gave her my site address and she had a quick look. She asked me, “What’s your USP?” USP wasn’t a term I was familiar with so I drew a blank. “Your unique selling point. What is it?” “Oh well, I don’t know. Me, I suppose” Well apparently that wasn’t a good enough answer for this lady who actually had no influence on me or my blog… To be perfectly honest though I think it was … Continue reading “What’s your USP?”…
People inspire me every day. Friends of mine who I know are going through hard times, financially, emotionally, physically. Yet they get up and get on with it. Mainly because they don’t have a choice. Well I suppose they could choose to just lie down and give in, that’s such an easy option these days. These people, however, they fight. They know life is tough and they know things could get worse and they could potentially be facing some s**t times for months to come, it doesn’t keep them down though. They have learnt that the good times are waiting, … Continue reading My Inspiration
