The one where you just can’t believe it…

Friends is in the top 10 of my all time favourite programmes, I was at one time, completely obsessed. There are times when I think back to some of the episodes and cannot understand why they did what they did … Continue reading The one where you just can’t believe it…

My 2019 Plan!

We all know that I love to plan. I’m the master of planning. I am the Planinator, Planatron? She-Plan, Plan-Woman! And lots of other planning-isms… Therefore I obviously have a plan for 2019. I am positive that it will not be as intense as last year, I really should look at slowing down and finding some more ways to relax, spending time with my loved ones and replenishing my soul! I suppose then, that is my plan. Do less, live more and relax. I do have a few things lined up though… I couldn’t go cold turkey! A trip to … Continue reading My 2019 Plan!

Our Summer

(and when I say ‘Our Summer’ I mean ‘My Summer’ because we all know that if Chris and Christopher were left to sort it we would be doing nothing… or maybe we’d be playing Fortnite, eating cheese and drinking tea…) Last year I was rubbish with the Summer planning, I thought we could wing it and be spontaneous with our Summer days… I was wrong. I’m fairly sure that the weather wasn’t up to much last year but please correct me if I’m wrong. This year is going to be awesome! We have lots of little day trips planned and … Continue reading Our Summer

No longer a glamping virgin!

What better way to spend a couple of freezing cold January nights than in a glamping pod up in The Lakes… Hayley and I were glamping pod virgins before our visit to The Quiet Site but the experience did not disappoint, in fact we can’t wait to go back! We arrived early afternoon at The Quiet Site in Ullswater and were greeted by the wonderful Sarah, quite possibly one of the friendliest members of staff of anywhere I’ve ever been. Sarah gave us a tour of the site and showed us to our lovely little pod that would be our … Continue reading No longer a glamping virgin!

“What’s your USP?”…

In my very early days of serious blogging I was chatting to a lady about my blog and she asked to see it. I gave her my site address and she had a quick look. She asked me, “What’s your USP?” USP wasn’t a term I was familiar with so I drew a blank. “Your unique selling point. What is it?” “Oh well, I don’t know. Me, I suppose” Well apparently that wasn’t a good enough answer for this lady who actually had no influence on me or my blog… To be perfectly honest though I think it was … Continue reading “What’s your USP?”…

Just one day at a time.

I will promote the importance of understanding mental health issues until it is no longer a taboo subject. I will happily stand up in front of people and tell them how I once found it so difficult to leave the house that my Dad had to literally pick me up and carry me in to the car. I know how it feels to have zero energy because you’ve not eaten for days but every time you put a spoonful of food near your mouth you are on the brink of being sick and it makes you cry. To me that … Continue reading Just one day at a time.
