1. Wild – Reese Witherspoon plays Cheryl Strayed, the crazy woman who loses her Mum to cancer and decides that she has to walk over 1,000 miles to work through her grief. It’s based on a true story, the book is far better than the film (isn’t it always). I can watch this over and over, it fills me up with determination and makes me want to get off my backside and do something, mainly it makes me want to hike PCT. 2. The Brontës

Haworth is a beautiful, historic village nestled in to the outskirts of the Pennines. It is famous for its cobbled streets, olde world sweet shop, apothecary and of course it was the home of The Brontës from 1820 until 1861. The Brontë sisters, and their brother, were born in Thornton village, just along the road from where I grew up. This is where my love of the Brontës and Haworth stems from.
