How do you invest in yourself?

“You can’t pour from an empty cup”, basically you need to fill the cup up to be able to pour from it. The same goes for you. If you’re emotionally, physically, mentally, spiritually, spent then you have nothing left to give and this will leave you feeling deflated. This is why you need to take the time to invest in yourself. Fill that cup back up. This isn’t all about relaxing and meditation and being all zen and calm, this is also about doing things for yourself. Things that you enjoy, taking the time to have a … Continue reading How do you invest in yourself?

Day of Dance

The Day of Dance in Saltaire is exactly what it says it is… An entire day dedicated to all things dance. From Morris to Ballroom, West African to Lancashire Step Clog. There’s something for everyone and it’s all aimed at beginners, so even if you’ve never danced a step you can still definitely join in.   The dancing…. My first class of the day was Eastern European and Gypsy Rom Circle Dance. I had zero idea what this would entail and I was very nervous. Dancing is something I enjoy privately, usually in my kitchen whilst I’m cooking, and … Continue reading Day of Dance

My Inspiration

People inspire me every day. Friends of mine who I know are going through hard times, financially, emotionally, physically. Yet they get up and get on with it. Mainly because they don’t have a choice. Well I suppose they could choose to just lie down and give in, that’s such an easy option these days. These people, however, they fight. They know life is tough and they know things could get worse and they could potentially be facing some s**t times for months to come, it doesn’t keep them down though. They have learnt that the good times are waiting, … Continue reading My Inspiration

Dreams and Meditation

Meditation has been a huge comfort for me recently. Not only does it reduce my stress and anxiety levels but it is opening up areas of my mind that are strange and unusual. I spoke of listening to Adagio for Strings in  a previous post and how it conjured up some incredible visuals. This is something I intend to build on. The serenity of it all is addictive. Here we have a legal and free way to get high! Your mind is so powerful and capable of so much that we don’t even know about yet. Alongside my meditation experiences … Continue reading Dreams and Meditation

My law of attraction in verse…

I recently joined a mindset coaching academy called the ‘Bossing It Academy’, here they (they being Holly and Caroline, who are incredible and will help you every step of the way) teach you about the Law of Attraction and how to basically boss the s**t out of your life. So my brain has obviously become inspired and it decided I should write this, this is how I am feeling about my take on the Law of Attraction at the moment. I cannot, will not fail, I may stumble along the way. The strength I have found within is my power now. … Continue reading My law of attraction in verse…

Walking Whernside

Walking is amazing, it’s one of the best and easiest ways to get and keep fit. It gets you out in the fresh air and it’s free. You don’t need any specialist equipment, unless you’re doing something that involves mountainous regions or long distance. If you’re walking around your local park you’ll probably be safe enough with a bottle of water and hopefully you won’t need a compass.* I love planning a walk, a big walk I mean, and by plan I mean something along these lines… “Gayle do you fancy a walk next Sunday”? “Yeah, sure, where”? “Not sure, … Continue reading Walking Whernside
