My 2019 Plan!

We all know that I love to plan. I’m the master of planning. I am the Planinator, Planatron? She-Plan, Plan-Woman! And lots of other planning-isms… Therefore I obviously have a plan for 2019. I am positive that it will not be as intense as last year, I really should look at slowing down and finding some more ways to relax, spending time with my loved ones and replenishing my soul! I suppose then, that is my plan. Do less, live more and relax. I do have a few things lined up though… I couldn’t go cold turkey! A trip to … Continue reading My 2019 Plan!

How to Disney…

I’m a planner, I like to plan. I like to have order and I like to be organised. It’s not military precision, I can cope with being a few minutes late here and there, although that does entirely depend on what it is I’m doing at the time. If you’re going out for a meal, then yes you have to be on time for your reservation but the evening tends to be a relaxed one, there’s not much planning going on. If you’re going on holiday then that’s an entirely different ball game! There will possibly be transfer times, flight … Continue reading How to Disney…

Do you WANT goals?

Or do you just want to live your life?   Everywhere I look these days it’s all, #goals what are your goals? Set your goals! Achieve your goals! Live your dreams! Dreams! Goals! Dreams! Goals! Argh!   Now, while I love how positive this is and I think it is important to have goals, to have something to work towards, it shouldn’t be the be all and end all. Being focused is good but you don’t want to be so focused on one thing for so long that you forget to look around and see what else is going on. … Continue reading Do you WANT goals?

Our Summer

(and when I say ‘Our Summer’ I mean ‘My Summer’ because we all know that if Chris and Christopher were left to sort it we would be doing nothing… or maybe we’d be playing Fortnite, eating cheese and drinking tea…) Last year I was rubbish with the Summer planning, I thought we could wing it and be spontaneous with our Summer days… I was wrong. I’m fairly sure that the weather wasn’t up to much last year but please correct me if I’m wrong. This year is going to be awesome! We have lots of little day trips planned and … Continue reading Our Summer

Do you even meal plan?

Meal plans are nothing new, if you Googled them right now you’d get over 23 million results, 23 million! So there’s plenty out there to look at. Families have had set days for specific meals for years, it’s an excellent time and money saver., as it eliminates this kind of situation… “So what do you fancy for tea”? “I don’t know what do you fancy?” “I don’t know, what do we have?” Spend 15 minutes browsing the fridge, freezer, cupboards before settling on beans on toast or a takeaway… I have no issues with either of those options, I love … Continue reading Do you even meal plan?

Are you ready for Summer?

With a teenager in the house life seems to sometimes revert back to when there was a toddler in the house. Going out anywhere takes four times longer than it should. Conversation has been reduced to a series of noises and bedtime is a nightmare, needing military precision planning and bribery. I know things are being re-wired in his brain. He’s going through a transformation of sorts, so I can almost forgive him. It would be nice, however, to be able to do things as a family without a thousand complaints from the teenager! If Chris and I think it’s … Continue reading Are you ready for Summer?

Keeping up with the Jones’

How often are you comparing yourself to others? Do you look at other people and wish you had their hair, their shoes, their money? Do you tell yourself that their children are progressing far quicker than yours? They’ve lost more weight than you? Do you constantly ask why they have everything? How is it fair that they have their dream job, dream house, new car, perfect relationship, well-behaved children… Stop! Stop it right now. I mean it, stop it right this second. Those lives that you see are not perfect. I can assure you that no matter how ‘together’ you … Continue reading Keeping up with the Jones’
