My A-Z of stuff.

I don’t really know where this post is going…I just thought an A-Z of myself would be fun. A is for anxiety and not letting it consume me. B is for the unread books that gather dust upon my shelves … Continue reading My A-Z of stuff.

How to survive…your ‘customer facing’ job role.

‘Just remember, these people pay your wages’ Those words are neither helpful nor entirely accurate. Yes okay if the customer base wasn’t there, there wouldn’t be a job, however you wouldn’t have been given that job in the first place because it wouldn’t have existed… I was going somewhere with this but I lost it. My point is that saying that to someone is dumb. It’s like telling someone to calm down when they are clearly already irate! So here’s a few tricks of the trade to survive a customer facing role. To get you through the day; plotting elaborate and … Continue reading How to survive…your ‘customer facing’ job role.

Interview with the artist..(they’re like vampires right?)

Art by PMW Paul is very much the Benedict Cumberbatch of the art world. Not conventionally good looking but there’s something strangely alluring about him… I stumbled across Paul completely by accident about a year ago. He made a hilarious comment in regards to something that Radio 2 had posted and I thought, “Well this guy is obviously going places one day, lets check out who he is” And that is how I inadvertently found his art page. Sounds a bit stalkery, probably is, but I’m helping to promote him so he can’t really complain. More recently I made an … Continue reading Interview with the artist..(they’re like vampires right?)

A totally pointless blog post…

Alphabet Films… I had a thought about a blog post, it turns out it wasn’t the best idea but I’m not one to quit so here is my rubbish blog post idea… I don’t even know where I was going with it. Basically, I took the alphabet and thought what can I list? So I listed a load of films, it was going to be my favourite films but I wasn’t allowed to use Google, I had to just quickly list them, straight away, one after another. (These were my own rules, this isn’t some kind of weird alphabet … Continue reading A totally pointless blog post…

What makes you, you?

Earlier this week I attended the funeral of a lady whom I had never met. I was there to accompany my Mum, I don’t just randomly turn up at strangers funerals. I must admit I was rather perturbed by the prospect of sharing this personal experience with people who before that day, I had never met and who were obviously there to say goodbye to their loved one, who again, I had never met. The service was beautiful, it took place at Tarn Moor Memorial Woodland where instead of headstones and graves they plant trees in … Continue reading What makes you, you?

Just for the sake of it.

I have around ten thousand thoughts an hour. Well it’s probably way more than that…actually I’m going to Google that right now. Okay, so the average person has around 2,000 – 3,000 thoughts per hour. With that in mind I definitely believe that my prediction of 10,000 thoughts an hour for myself is true. I have a hard time living in the now, it stresses me out that I can’t do it so I don’t push it. I live in the now when I can and when it feels natural. When I am practising Yoga or I am going … Continue reading Just for the sake of it.

The canal is my friend…so what.

I wouldn’t ordinarily be on the canal in the dark because it is a rather scary place, however on this particular day I had walked in to Shipley and didn’t take in to account that it would be getting dark by the time I walked home…   But! I was brave and I didn’t die…yay! So I apologise for the very picture heavy post but I feel that my experience of the scary canal at dusk should be shared with you people and has nothing to do with the fact that I have had zero time to actually write … Continue reading The canal is my friend…so what.

I had a dream…

We all dream, whether or not we remember our dreams is a different matter. I always assumed that everyone had weird, f**ked up dreams. I’ve never had a dream that was just normal. Something bizarre, terrifying or just weird usually happens. I only started thinking about it when I heard someone refer to their dream as weird because in it they owned a cat… Well funnily enough I did dream last night that we had a cat, only this cat could talk and it told me about the flies I had living in my pen…I mean a pen … Continue reading I had a dream…
