I’m not going to lie I am totally unprepared for this weeks blog… hence why it’s being posted so late… I’ve been away this weekend and so Friday was a mad rush to get my vlog and song posted, plus … Continue reading Just a quick one…
I spent the weekend in Wragby, Lincolnshire, with my Mother Goose and my Mother-Outlaw. And it was wonderful! We did so many of the things. Friday night was rather relaxed and mainly consisted of eating some food and going to bed because that’s how rock ‘n’ roll we are… oh we had Prosecco! That’s always rather nice. Saturday, however, was a whole different kind of story! We visited Bolingbroke Castle, in Bolingbroke, funnily enough. I had Googled some dog friendly places as we had Foxle Doggle with us aka Foxo Stuffing aka Foxy the Dog. Here is dog… Bolingbroke … Continue reading My weekend with the Mothers.
It’s always a treat to Visit Northumberland, there’s a feeling of relaxation as you make your way further North. It’s serene, calm. The air is clear and you could be forgiven for thinking that could actually run in to a dragon at any given moment. My Mum has a cottage in a small village just outside Berwick- Upon-Tweed and so I get to visit this incredible place at least once a year and it never gets old. There are beautiful fossil filled beaches, craggy coastlines and more castles than you can shake a stick at. Our plan for this weekend … Continue reading Northumberland: Day One
This weekend my Mum and I headed off down to the Peak District with the Veteran Boot Breakers to take on a 15 mile walk across the district of peaks, taking in Kinder Scout, Winnats Pass and Mam Tor. This was my first time visiting the Peak District and the drive down there certainly did not disappoint. It’s like entering a whole other world, with beautiful woodlands and windy country roads. The views are astonishing, rolling hills towering over tranquil forests and sparkly reservoirs. We were booked in at Losehill Hall YHA and it was amazing. For a start the … Continue reading The Peak District!
Aaah another Bank Holiday weekend, what a treat. Well no not really, it’s pretty much just like any other weekend. Chris works Bank Holidays Mondays usually and up until about a year ago I always did too. I think this is the quietest weekend I have until the 21st of July. I’m not complaining, I love having things going on, outings, meals, trips away. That’s what life is about isn’t it? Enjoying yourself! This weekend has been rather uneventful but nice and relaxed. Christopher was at his Dad’s so that meant it was quiet, there was no washing to do … Continue reading The Weekend
Some people are filled with dread when they hear the words “The in-laws are coming to stay” For me it’s the complete opposite. I adore Chris’ Mum. She is wonderful, we get on, we have a laugh and I really enjoy her company. So on the rare occasion that we do get to spend time together it’s awesome! We spent a wonderful relaxing weekend, eating yummy things, drinking prosecco, watching Criminal Minds, Doctor Who. We even found time to go exploring through Bingley woods, along the canal and back along the river. We met herons, ducks, geese, bunnies cows and … Continue reading Some walking, a steam train and the 1940’s
This post was originally written and published in 2016. And Christopher still wants to do stuff with us! It’s truly a mackerel! This last weekend gave me the rare opportunity to spend some time with my son. My boyfriend was working nights and so Christopher and I headed off to find some adventures. The weekend wasn’t without its arguments. That child will argue that black is white with me given half the chance. We had fun though, we always have fun, it’s so nice to see him growing up, you can hold a semi sensible conversation with him and sometimes … Continue reading A weekend of adventures!
